Area Manager, Business Development – Multi-Family & Leasing Staffing - Corona, California.

Compensation: This role begins at the starting base compensation listed in the posted salary range, plus uncapped commission on new business developed. Total earnings increase as new business is built.

About the Role

We are a well-established staffing firm (serving the New Home Sales industry since 1996) expanding into the multi-family/apartment leasing space. We are seeking an experienced Area Manager / Business Development professional to launch and grow this new division by developing client relationships, securing new business, and driving revenue growth.

This role blends sales, client strategy, and recruitment oversight and is ideal for someone with strong industry contacts and an entrepreneurial mindset.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute a business plan to grow staffing services within the apartment/leasing industry
  • Identify, pursue, and close new client opportunities from lead generation through contract execution
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships and retention strategies
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and negotiate pricing and contract terms
  • Use CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) to manage pipelines and client interactions
  • Oversee hiring decisions and ensure a positive candidate and client experience

Recruitment Oversight

  • Conduct final interviews and hiring decisions for placed candidates
  • Build local recruiting partnerships (schools, workforce centers, trade organizations, etc.)
  • Ensure strong communication, follow-up, and service throughout the hiring process

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of professional experience in a related field
  • 3–5 years with a staffing agency in a supervisory, management, or business development role (preferred)
  • Existing contacts within the apartment or leasing industry
  • 2+ years of direct sales experience with measurable success
  • Strong organization, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable managing priorities, cold outreach, and formal presentations

Compensation

This position offers a base salary plus commission on new business developed.
