Commercial Relationship Manager

Job Summary:
The Commercial Relationship Manager is responsible for the development of banking relationships with business customers across the assigned region. Makes and services a wide variety of secured and unsecured business loans or lines of credit, along with consumer loans, deposit and treasury management services. Responsible for related account administration, credit extension, and business development functions. The incumbent will represent the bank in the local community through active participation in community affairs and other networking opportunities.
Essential Functions:
- Develop new business by meeting with prospective commercial customers within the target market.
- Meet with applicants to obtain information; compile and analyze data for loan requests; submit applications to credit analysts for preparation of financial analysis and approval recommendations.
- Recommend products and services to potential customers and handle inquiries from applicants including explanation of the loan requirements and process.
- Screen loan requests based on bank policies and procedures and on types of loans offered.
- Prepare loan proposals and packages in accordance with bank credit standards.
- Confer and work closely with credit analysts to expeditiously decision loan requests.
- Present loan recommendations to senior management and/or the management loan committee.
- Maintain an assigned portfolio of business relationships ensuring adherence to quality and risk standards determined by the bank.
- Build customer relationships by cross selling bank products and services.
- Participate in community and civic functions, either in an advisory or active capacity, representing the bank, with emphasis on maintaining and developing business relationships.

Here is what our client requires:
- 3 – 5 years of business development or relationship management in Henry, Wayne and/or Fayette counties
- A track record of building profitable relationships with businesses in the market along with a network of COIs
- A history of doing the right thing for your customers and the bank
- A history of meeting/exceeding production goals
- Ability to work independently and to prioritize multiple tasks
