Position Summary:

The Batch Maker is responsible for manufacturing and blending products according to established formulas, production procedures, and quality standards. This role involves handling bulk chemicals, monitoring batch processes, packaging finished products, and maintaining accurate production documentation while following all safety and housekeeping requirements.


Key Responsibilities:Batch Making & Blending
  • Manufacture and blend products according to established formulas and production instructions
  • Transfer bulk chemicals, liquids, powders, and solids from pails, bags, and drums into mixing equipment
  • Accurately measure, weigh, and calculate chemical additions
  • Monitor batches throughout the blending process and make adjustments to maintain product specifications
  • Ensure batches meet quality and production requirements
  • Clean and rinse mixers, tanks, and production equipment between batches
  • Complete and maintain accurate production records, batch logs, and documentation
Packaging
  • Fill finished products into pails, drums, and totes
  • Accurately weigh finished containers to ensure proper fill weights
  • Apply correct labels to all finished products
  • Forward completed production documentation to the appropriate department
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all company safety policies, work procedures, and housekeeping standards
  • Handle chemicals safely and properly store raw materials
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Inspect equipment, tools, and workstations to ensure they are in safe operating condition
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area

Job Requirements:
  • Previous experience in batch making, blending, mixing, or chemical manufacturing preferred
  • Ability to accurately measure, weigh, and calculate material quantities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written formulas and procedures
  • Experience handling bulk chemicals, powders, and liquid materials is preferred
  • Ability to complete production documentation accurately
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle pails, bags, drums, and other production materials
  • Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays as required
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork
