Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Industry: Management Consulting

Location (city, state): New York, NY (Hybrid)

Assignment Type: Contract (through end of December 2026)

Pay: $25–$27/hour (based on experience)

Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week (8:00am–5:00pm or 8:30am–5:30pm); hybrid schedule, starting fully in-office during initial training with a transition to 3 days/week onsite once approved

Job Description: A growing consulting firm is looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support a busy team in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on staying organized amid shifting priorities and enjoys being a dependable point of contact for scheduling and logistics.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a complex, high-volume calendar and coordinate meetings across multiple stakeholders
  • Book and organize domestic and international travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, and ground transportation
  • Submit and reconcile expense reports using expense management software (training available)
  • Stay flexible and responsive as priorities shift throughout the day
  • Communicate professionally and clearly with both internal team members and outside contacts
  • Support broader administrative needs across the team as they arise

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in high-volume calendar management, travel coordination, and expense processing (backgrounds as an Office Administrator, Executive Assistant, or Legal Secretary welcome)
  • Prior experience in a consulting or professional services environment preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with expense platforms (e.g., Chrome River) and systems like SAP or Concur is a plus
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree required
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage competing demands
  • Strong interpersonal skills — personable, team-oriented, and comfortable building relationships across all levels
