Senior Helpers is excited to announce an opening for the position of Caregiver in our dedicated team. This role is designed for those who have a passion for aiding seniors in their daily lives, providing both emotional and physical support. This is a Part-Time position wherein successful candidates will be required to work in-person, as this is not a remote job opportunity. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide medication reminders according to the prescribed schedule
  • Support clients with mobility challenges, including aiding with transfers and ambulatory assistance
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment
  • Prepare meals ensuring dietary restrictions are followed
  • Engage in companionship and social interaction, aiming to improve client happiness and mental health
  • Monitor and report changes in client health, behavior, and needs
  • Facilitate transportation to appointments and assist with errands as needed
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety and hygiene standards
  • Maintain client confidentiality at all times
Requirements
  • Proven experience in caregiving, PCA care, or a similar role
  • Empathy and the ability to care for the client's social, emotional, and physical well-being
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a state-approved caregiver education program is preferred
  • Ability to perform all physical tasks required in caring for the elderly
  • Strong moral character and reliability
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work
  • Must successfully pass a background check, including criminal history, personal references, and employment verification
  • A current first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable
