Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician
Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: Syracuse, NY 13210
Schedule: Evening Shift (5x8 Hours) | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

A healthcare organization is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician responsible for the safe and effective decontamination, sterilization, and preparation of surgical instruments and equipment. This role supports Operating Room and clinical operations by ensuring all instruments meet strict quality and safety standards.

• Perform decontamination, cleaning, disinfection, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and trays
• Apply aseptic techniques and conduct quality checks with high accuracy and reliability
• Operate and maintain equipment used for cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing surgical tools
• Assemble both simple and complex surgical instrument sets
• Utilize sterilization methods including steam sterilization, Steris, and Sterrad systems
• Monitor and document sterilization and decontamination processes
• Respond promptly to urgent and emergent requests from clinical staff

• Minimum of 1 year of Sterile Processing experience

• Sterile Processing Technician Certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA) required
