Pool Cook – Job Description


Position Summary
The Pool Cook is responsible for preparing and executing a high-volume, casual menu in a fast-paced poolside kitchen environment. This role requires strong organization, consistency, and the ability to work efficiently during peak service times while maintaining quality and cleanliness standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to club recipes and standards
  • Execute high-volume service during peak pool hours with speed and accuracy
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, grill, and prep areas
  • Ensure proper food handling, safety, and sanitation practices at all times
  • Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation
  • Assist with prep work, stocking, and inventory as needed
  • Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
  • Help with opening and closing duties of the pool kitchen

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of kitchen or line cook experience preferred
  • Experience with grill, fryer, and basic kitchen equipment
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and peak summer hours

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods in a hot environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working outdoors in heat and humidity
