Oakwood Veneer Company is hiring a full-time Machine & Facilities Repair Technician for our manufacturing operations in Troy, Michigan, with additional facility support in Berkley, MI. This is a first-shift, day shift position working approximately 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, offering stable hours and long-term opportunity in a hands-on industrial environment. We operate in a very stable industry with no layoffs in over 40 years of business, providing long-term job security. We are seeking a highly mechanically inclined industrial maintenance technician with experience in machine repair, preventative maintenance, and facility maintenance, particularly in environments involving pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, and electrical schematics. Responsibilities
In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance and repair on approximately 15 large production machines, ensuring equipment operates efficiently and minimizing downtime. You will troubleshoot and repair issues involving mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical components, while reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical diagrams. You will also be responsible for facility maintenance and repair across multiple buildings, including light plumbing, light electrical work, and coordination of HVAC systems with outside vendors. Additional responsibilities include equipment installation, relocation, and upgrades, while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment. This position requires strong ownership of both machine performance and facility operations.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial maintenance, machine maintenance, facilities maintenance, or equipment repair, along with strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills. Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, and reading electrical schematics is required. Candidates must be comfortable working independently, prioritizing maintenance tasks, and handling a wide range of repair responsibilities. This is a physically active role requiring standing, walking, use of tools, and the ability to lift up to approximately 60 lbs. A valid driver's license is required.

Pay & Benefits
This position offers a total annual compensation package of $55,000 to $60,000, structured as either an hourly or salary position depending on experience and fit.
