Job Summary
The University of Rochester Medical Center is seeking an experienced Endoscopy/GI Technician to support physicians and nursing staff during gastrointestinal and endoscopic procedures. The technician will prepare procedure rooms, assist during procedures, process and maintain endoscopic equipment, perform high-level disinfection (HLD) processes, and help ensure safe, efficient patient care.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of recent Endoscopy/GI Technician experience
Previous travel experience required
Experience assisting with GI and endoscopic procedures
Knowledge of endoscope reprocessing and infection prevention standards
High-Level Disinfection (HLD) Certification highly desired
Required Credentials
High School Diploma or GED
Current BLS Certification
HLD (High-Level Disinfection) Certification highly desired
Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) certification preferred
Previous travel assignment experience required
