Brief Description
Coastline Power Solutions is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Door Department Technician to manufacture and assemble doors used in our custom generator enclosures.
The Door Department Technician will work with aluminum panels, insulation, perforated metal, mechanical fasteners, door hardware, seals, and related components to build complete enclosure doors according to engineering drawings and Coastline quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, be comfortable using hand and power tools, and be capable of accurately measuring, fitting, fastening, and assembling components. This individual must be able to work safely, maintain a clean work area, communicate effectively, and consistently produce high-quality work.

Essential Responsibilities
- Manufacture and assemble aluminum enclosure doors according to engineering drawings, specifications, and production instructions.
- Measure, cut, fit, align, and assemble aluminum door panels and related components.
- Install insulation and perforated metal inside door assemblies.
- Install aluminum skins using mechanical fasteners, rivets, impact tools, drills, and hand tools.
- Install hinges, handles, latches, locks, door stays, seals, gaskets, and other door hardware.
- Verify that completed doors are square, properly aligned, and built to the required dimensions.
- Test door operation to confirm proper opening, closing, latching, sealing, and overall fit.
- Follow engineering drawings, work instructions, production schedules, and supervisor direction.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment requirements.
- Assist other production areas when needed.
- Perform other duties as required, directed, or assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
- Experience using hand tools, drills, impact tools, rivet guns, grinders, saws, and other power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, measurements, specifications, and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to measure, align, square, fit, and fasten components accurately.
- Prior manufacturing, fabrication, carpentry, sheet-metal, or construction experience is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well as part of a team.
- Dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and capable of maintaining a productive work pace.
- Basic reading, math, and writing skills.
- Must pass required pre-employment screening.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and lift.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment where dust, dirt, heat, cold, vibration, fumes, noise, water, or chemicals may be present.
