Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of assigned nursing staff while coordinating care with other disciplines using critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making.

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
Acute care facility experience: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification from an approved vendor per AH policy: Required
Facility Specific License/Certifications:
AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required
Department Specific License/Certifications:
AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS: Required
AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS: Required
Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
Analyzes assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses and patient care needs.
Develops a plan of care that prescribes interventions to achieve desired patient outcomes.
Implements the plan of care, coordinates care delivery, and promotes a safe and healthy environment.
Evaluates patient progress toward achieving expected outcomes.
Identifies expected outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation.
Collaborates with patients, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide safe, compassionate, and effective patient care.
Provides education and learning opportunities for patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Communicates health information directly to patients, families, and the treatment team.
Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
Delegates responsibilities appropriately and coordinates the activities of healthcare team members.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
