Reconditioning Service Technician

Vern Eide GM is looking for a Reconditioning Service Technician to add to our talented crew. If you’ve got some automotive repair experience, your own basic tools, and a knack for problem-solving, we want to hire you – and soon! This position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8 am-5 pm. Overtime may be available, but is not required. Starting pay is $20- $24 an hour, with potential to move to flat rate , with a full benefits package. You’ll be working in a climate-controlled facility (no matter the season!) that features new hoists, new benches, and no flat-rate work. Plus, our shops are a really fun place to work – with great people and full access to tech fridges/pantries filled with FREE food, snacks, and drinks while you’re on the job.

Key Responsibilities

• Recondition incoming trade vehicles by performing inspections, changing oil/fluids/filters/wiper blades, and performing any basic repairs that the vehicle needs upon your first look.
• Perform light mechanical work such as brakes, tires, alignments, battery installs, fuel pumps, axle seals, oil cooler lines, and other similar repairs.
• Light diagnostic work may also be required.

Qualifications

• Previous technician experience
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must have a safe driving record and be able to pass a background check and drug screen
• Possess a can-do attitude and be a positive team player
• Willing to learn and grow
• Valid driver’s license with a good record
• Able to pass a background check and drug screen
