Outside Sales Representative - Washington, DC

A leading company in the luxury home furnishings, textiles, and accessories market is seeking an experienced and dynamic Outside Sales Representative. This role plays a pivotal part in driving business growth and fostering strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales within the luxury or design sector and a passion for architecture, interiors, and creative environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting potential clients, attending industry events, and networking with key stakeholders.

  • Possess a deep understanding of the company's product offerings and effectively communicate value propositions tailored to architects, interior designers, contractors, and other design professionals.

  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships by offering exceptional customer service and personalized solutions.

  • Proactively anticipate client needs and provide support throughout the sales process.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product development, customer support) to ensure consistency in messaging and client service.

  • Gather market intelligence and client feedback to inform strategic business decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the luxury sector.

  • Proven and verifiable record of sales success through business development and growing client accounts.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.

  • Experience using Salesforce or another CRM system is a plus.

  • Must be willing and able to travel throughout the territory to meet clients in person.

  • Able to lift and move up to 20 lbs.

  • Capable of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day.
