Fire Sprinkler Installation Lead (New Construction)

Location: Fort Mill, SC

Employment Type: Full-time, On-site (Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week)

A day in the life

You kick off the morning with a crew huddle, reviewing plans and plan symbols, aligning on goals, and confirming materials and lift access are ready. By mid-morning, you’re leading layout and installation for a new sprinkler system—routing pipe, hanging, and coordinating with the GC, building engineers, and property managers. After lunch, you’re verifying compliance with NFPA 13 and 25 and NC/SC Fire Code, correcting anything out of spec, and documenting code issues with recommended fixes. You wrap by testing, cleaning up, and ensuring the company service vehicle is organized, stocked, and ready for tomorrow.

What you’ll lead and do
  • Oversee installation, modifications, and repairs of fire sprinkler systems for new construction and tenant improvements/build-outs.
  • Interpret construction drawings, plan symbols, and terminology to guide efficient field installation.
  • Identify code violations and non-compliant conditions; propose and implement corrective actions.
  • Execute office space reconfigurations, relocations, and additions to meet new layouts.
  • Perform overhead work using ladders and scissor lifts while enforcing safe work practices.
  • Foster professional interactions with customers, building engineers, and property managers; communicate clearly across all levels of TEC.
  • Maintain a company-provided service vehicle, manage inventory of parts/tools/equipment, and keep it clean and organized.
  • Champion continuous improvement—share ideas that elevate quality, safety, and productivity.
  • Uphold company policies and safety procedures; perform additional duties as assigned.
What you bring
  • High School Diploma.
  • 3+ years of hands-on fire sprinkler installation experience.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 13 and 25 and NC/SC Fire Code.
  • Role-specific safety training; comfortable with ladder work and scissor lifts.
  • Valid Driver’s License, pipefitting proficiency, blueprint reading, and strong communication skills.
Why you’ll love working here
  • Competitive pay aligned with your experience.
  • Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision.
  • 401(k) with company match to support your long-term goals.
  • Paid Time Off and holidays for balance and rest.
