Position Summary:

The Electronics Assembler / Soldering Technician is responsible for assembling and soldering electronic components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) while ensuring all products meet IPC quality standards. This role requires experience with SMT and through-hole soldering, blueprint reading, and precision assembly in an electronics manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform soldering of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and through-hole components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) using soldering irons, hand tools, and related equipment
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and IPC-A-610 standards to ensure accurate assembly and soldering quality
  • Conduct visual inspections of solder joints and completed assemblies to verify compliance with IPC-A-610 quality standards
  • Assemble mechanical components and wire electrical systems according to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Use hand tools and manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently during assembly processes
  • Follow detailed assembly instructions and work orders to meet customer specifications
  • Identify and report quality issues or assembly defects to supervisors
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all company quality, safety, and manufacturing procedures

Job Requirements:
  • Experience soldering SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and through-hole electronic components required
  • Ability to operate soldering equipment, hand tools, and precision assembly tools
  • Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, technical drawings, and IPC-A-610 standards
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Experience in an electronics manufacturing or PCB assembly environment preferred
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment
  • IPC certification is a plus but not required
