Overview

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring a skilled Fence Installer for projects located in Springfield, OR. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $22-25/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a Fence Installer eager to master your skills while working alongside our accomplished Craft Professionals, this is your chance to advance your career!

Job Scope:

  • Locate underground utilities before digging, grade and level the surface, and mark the fence line
  • Lay out the location for posts and dig holes for terminal end, corner, gate, and line posts
  • Place terminal posts, followed by line posts, ensuring they are plumb and properly spaced
  • Set posts in wet concrete and install post fittings such as rail end cups and loop caps
  • Install the top rail, securing it with caps and brace bands
  • Attach the chain link fabric to the first terminal post using a tension bar and bands, unroll along the fence line, and stretch tightly with a come-along
  • Fasten the fabric to the line posts and top rail with tie wires or other fittings
  • Install tension bars and bands on all terminal posts
  • Install gates at designated locations and add accessories like privacy slats or barbed wire
  • Perform a final inspection to ensure the fence is secure and meets specifications
