Responsibilities- Build and grow through prospecting, networking, and referrals
- Develop long-term relationships with clients by providing consultative insurance and financial solutions
- Educate clients on coverage options across personal, commercial, and life insurance products
- Conduct policy reviews to ensure clients have appropriate, cost-effective coverage as their needs evolve
- Partner closely with the mentor agent to learn agency operations, sales strategies, and best practices
- Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and professional development through Farmers Insurance
- Maintain strong knowledge of Farmers products, underwriting guidelines, and compliance standards
- Track sales activity and pipeline progress using agency and company systems
- Represent Farmers Insurance and The May Agency with professionalism in the community
Requirements- Prior professional experience in sales, management, leadership, business ownership, or client-facing roles
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build and own a business
- Ability to self-motivate, manage time effectively, and work independently
- Comfort working toward performance goals in a commission-based or performance-driven environment
- Willingness to obtain and maintain required insurance licenses (Property & Casualty and Life & Health)
- Clean background and ability to meet Farmers Insurance eligibility requirements
- Proficiency with basic business technology (CRM systems, email, virtual meetings)
- Bachelors degree preferred but not required; equivalent professional experience considered
