Las Vegas Petroleum, a premier provider of travel center services, is looking for a dedicated and efficient Prep Cook to enhance our culinary team. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients and assisting in the kitchen to ensure high-quality meals are served promptly to our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and chop ingredients for various dishes, ensuring they meet the quality standards of our kitchen.
• Assist with the cooking process, including setting up cooking stations and organizing supplies.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene by washing utensils and equipment, and following food safety protocols.
• Label, store, and handle food items in compliance with health regulations.
• Support chefs during meal service and help with plating and presentation of dishes.
• Participate in inventory management and report any shortages to kitchen management.
• Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Prep Cook or in a similar role within the food service industry is preferred.
• Understanding of food safety guidelines and proper kitchen practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Good communication skills for effective teamwork in the kitchen.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• A strong enthusiasm for food preparation and a willingness to learn.
