Kinder's Meats * Deli * BBQ is looking for a Part-Time Maintenance Technician to support our restaurant locations by keeping equipment, facilities, and back-of-house operations running smoothly.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fixing, troubleshooting, and tinkering, and takes pride in being the go-to person when something breaks. You'll play a critical role in minimizing downtime, supporting store teams, and ensuring our kitchens operate safely and efficiently.

Schedule & Structure

• Part-time (approximately 20 hours per week)
• On-call availability required for urgent repair needs
• Flexible scheduling based on business needs and maintenance priorities

Key Responsibilities

General Maintenance & Repairs

• Diagnose and repair issues across multiple restaurant locations, including:
• Kitchen equipment (ovens, smokers, fryers, refrigeration units, etc.)
• Plumbing issues (leaks, clogs, fixtures)
• Basic electrical (lighting, outlets, switches)
• General facility repairs (doors, hinges, shelving, minor carpentry)
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime
• Identify potential issues before they become major problems

On-Call & Multi-Location Support

• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner across all store locations
• Travel between locations as needed to complete repairs
• Communicate clearly with store leadership regarding timelines and repair status
• Prioritize urgent issues that impact operations, safety, or customer experience

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all repairs meet safety and operational standards
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas during and after repairs
• Follow all company safety protocols when working with equipment and tools

Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned to support store operations

Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, or handyman work (restaurant or commercial kitchen experience strongly preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of back-of-house kitchen equipment and systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently
• Comfortable handling a wide range of repairs (mechanical, minor electrical, plumbing, etc.)
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required
• Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment (up to ~50 lbs)
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
