Lead hydraulic modeling assignments for water, wastewater, and stormwater conveyance systems using advanced modeling software (InfoWorks, WaterGEMS, XPSWMM, EPA-SWMM, KY Pipe, etc.) and GIS tools.
Develop, calibrate, and maintain detailed hydraulic models to assess performance, predict issues, and design practical solutions.
Prepare calculations, technical reports, engineering studies, and design deliverables for utility conveyance and infrastructure projects.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including schedules, budgets, scope development, and quality control.
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to design staff in the modeling process.
Coordinate with sub-consultants, internal disciplines, and clients to ensure project success.
Present project findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (ABET-accredited program).
8+ years of experience in hydraulic modeling, sewer rehabilitation, water/sewer design, and engineering economics.
Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (InfoWorks, WaterGEMS, XPSWMM, PCSWMM, KY Pipe, EPA-SWMM, etc.).
Strong skills in Microsoft Office, written and verbal communication, and technical report writing.
Experience with transient analyses and data management.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) License.
Experience working with county and state agencies in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Familiarity with local permitting and regulatory requirements.
Work Environment
Office-based (95%) with occasional field work in varying weather conditions.
Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required during site visits.
