The Human Resources Intern will support the HR department with a variety of administrative and operational tasks, with a focus on recruitment, onboarding, and compliance. This internship offers hands-on experience in multiple areas of HR, providing students with valuable exposure to the fast-paced world of health services and HR operations.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in various stages of the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening applications, and scheduling interviews.

  • Support the development and maintenance of job descriptions and recruiting materials.

  • Help manage the company’s recruitment-related social media presence and job board postings.

  • Participate in the development and execution of recruitment strategies and sourcing methods.

  • Help gather and organize recruitment and HR data for analysis and reporting.

  • Assist with the preparation of interview materials and candidate communication.

  • Support onboarding activities including preparing offer letters and new hire documents.

  • Help coordinate and attend employee orientation sessions.

  • Participate in weekly recruitment team meetings and contribute updates or notes as needed.

  • Maintain confidentiality while assisting with sensitive employee and candidate information.

  • Attend college career events and recruitment fairs alongside HR staff.

  • Perform other administrative tasks and projects as assigned.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Strong interest in building a career in Human Resources.

  • Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written.

  • Friendly, professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management abilities.

  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with HR systems or applicant tracking systems is a plus.
