The Human Resources Intern will support the HR department with a variety of administrative and operational tasks, with a focus on recruitment, onboarding, and compliance. This internship offers hands-on experience in multiple areas of HR, providing students with valuable exposure to the fast-paced world of health services and HR operations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in various stages of the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening applications, and scheduling interviews.
Support the development and maintenance of job descriptions and recruiting materials.
Help manage the company’s recruitment-related social media presence and job board postings.
Participate in the development and execution of recruitment strategies and sourcing methods.
Help gather and organize recruitment and HR data for analysis and reporting.
Assist with the preparation of interview materials and candidate communication.
Support onboarding activities including preparing offer letters and new hire documents.
Help coordinate and attend employee orientation sessions.
Participate in weekly recruitment team meetings and contribute updates or notes as needed.
Maintain confidentiality while assisting with sensitive employee and candidate information.
Attend college career events and recruitment fairs alongside HR staff.
Perform other administrative tasks and projects as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds
QUALIFICATIONS:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong interest in building a career in Human Resources.
Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written.
Friendly, professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with HR systems or applicant tracking systems is a plus.
