Our busy shop is seeking an experienced lube technician to join our automotive service team. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles, including oil changes, fluid checks and fills, tire rotations, light bulb replacements, and inspections. This position requires some knowledge of the mechanical workings of different types of automobiles. Previous experience as a lube technician or automotive technician is desired. 18 - 22 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Offer suggestions to consumers for additional services based on mileage and vehicle history
• Check tire pressure and tread depth, and lubricate chassis components
• Make sure all work areas and the shop floor are clean, and that all safety rules are observed
• Drain and refill engine oil, as well as inspect and top off transmission, brake, power steering, and coolant fluids, on customer vehicles
• Maintain shop inventory by recording oil and parts usage and reordering supplies when needed

Qualifications:

• Able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be capable of safely using tools, car lifts, and other garage equipment
• Lube technician experience of one or more years or related automotive experience is preferred
• Customer service skills are essential for this role
