Farmington Hills, Michigan
Join Our Neuropsychiatric Practice
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and clinically skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with psychiatric experience to join our established neuropsychiatric practice in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
We are open to part-time or PRN/as-needed arrangements and are willing to create a schedule that works well for the right candidate.
Our practice takes a holistic, patient-centered approach to care. We look at the whole person and consider the relationship between neurological, psychiatric, cognitive, emotional, medical, and lifestyle factors when developing a treatment plan.
The Opportunity
The provider will work closely with the physician and initially shadow the physician to become familiar with our practice philosophy, clinical approach, patient population, and treatment protocols.
Over time, the provider will take on increasing responsibility for patient care and develop their own patient caseload.
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing follow-up care after the physician's initial evaluation and intake.
- Managing ongoing psychiatric care and treatment plans.
- Providing medication management and prescription refills within the provider's scope of practice.
- Monitoring medication effectiveness, response, and potential side effects.
- Communicating and collaborating with the physician regarding patient care.
- Providing coverage for the physician when necessary.
- Developing and managing an individual patient panel.
- Establishing long-term relationships with patients.
- Taking a holistic approach to patients with complex psychiatric, neurological, cognitive, behavioral, and medical needs.
- Coordinating care with other healthcare providers when appropriate.
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.

We are open to candidates at different stages of their careers.
This opportunity may be particularly attractive to:
- An experienced PMHNP or PA with a strong background in psychiatric care who would enjoy working in a smaller, collaborative practice.
- A seasoned clinician looking for a flexible part-time or PRN opportunity.
- A clinician in the second half of their career who wants to continue practicing while enjoying greater flexibility.
- An early-career NP or PA who wants additional psychiatric experience, mentorship, and the opportunity to develop clinically under the guidance of an experienced physician.
