Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Professional Surveyor & Mapper to join our team. This role involves overseeing survey production, managing surveying teams, and ensuring the accuracy and regulatory compliance of boundary surveys and platting deliverables for new home construction projects. This candidate will be responsible for reviewing and signing boundary work, primarily related to new construction developments, ensuring all surveying activities meet industry standards and legal requirements. This position offers an opportunity to lead critical surveying operations within a dynamic environment focused on precision and quality.

Responsibilities

• Analyze deeds, title reports and other research materials for the production of survey maps and reports
• Effective coordination and communication with other team members
• Write and review legal descriptions
• Observe surveys to establish and map boundaries for properties, topographic studies, construction features, etc. this includes maps, reports, legal, descriptions and more
• Search legal records, survey records, plans, specifications, land titles, etc. to obtain information about property boundaries and other items of interest specific to the tasks being surveyed
• Complete assignments in a timely and efficient manner
• Ensure QC process has been completed prior to survey products advancing to client delivery
• Review field notes, daily records and data results received from survey staff
• Direct Survey Boundary Work

Requirements

• Active Florida Professional Surveyor & Mapper License through The Florida State Board of Professional Surveyors and Mappers
• Valid Drivers License
• Thorough knowledge of land surveying principles and practices
• Minimum 3 years experience with Carlson
• Experience managing or supervising survey crews
• Proficient with field equipment and standard field procedures
• Substantial oral and written communication skills
