Junior Cabinet Installer
Position Summary
The Junior Cabinet Installer will work alongside experienced installers and our project team to assist with the installation of kitchen and bathroom cabinetry and other remodeling activities.
This is a growth-oriented position. We are looking for someone who may not have extensive cabinet installation experience today but has the right attitude, strong work ethic, basic construction skills, and a genuine desire to learn.
The right candidate will receive hands-on experience and training while developing the skills necessary to become an experienced Cabinet Installer and potentially a Lead Installer in the future.
We value attitude, reliability, willingness to learn, and quality of work as much as previous experience.
Primary ResponsibilitiesCabinet Installation & Carpentry
- Assist experienced installers with kitchen and bathroom cabinet installation.
- Learn how to properly lay out, level, secure, and adjust cabinetry.
- Assist with installation of fillers, panels, moldings, toe kicks, hardware, and accessories.
- Learn finish carpentry techniques and proper installation methods.
- Assist with demolition and preparation of kitchen and bathroom spaces when required.
- Learn to read cabinet drawings, layouts, and project plans.
- Measure and verify dimensions before and during installation.
- Assist with punch list items and final project completion.
- Develop the skills necessary to complete installations independently over time.
Job Site Responsibilities
- Help prepare and protect the customer’s home before work begins.
- Keep the job site clean, organized, and safe throughout the project.
- Assist with unloading, organizing, and inspecting cabinets and materials.
- Properly handle cabinetry, tools, and materials to prevent damage.
- Clean the work area at the end of each day.
- Help remove construction debris and maintain an organized work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures.
Customer Service
Our installers work inside our customers’ homes and are an important representation of TrueLeaf Kitchens & Baths.
The Junior Cabinet Installer is expected to:
- Treat every customer’s home with care and respect.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude.
- Be respectful when communicating with homeowners.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Avoid unnecessary disruption to the customer’s home.
- Immediately communicate customer concerns or job-site issues to the Lead Installer or Project Manager.

QualificationsRequired
- Basic experience with construction, carpentry, handyman work, cabinetry, or similar hands-on work is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of common hand and power tools.
- Ability and willingness to learn cabinet installation and finish carpentry.
- Ability to accurately use a tape measure.
- Ability to follow instructions and construction drawings with training.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift and carry cabinets, tools, and construction materials.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physical work throughout the day.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Extensive cabinet installation experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person who demonstrates a strong work ethic, reliability, and a desire to learn.
