Overview

Join our dedicated team as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health services to individuals, couples, and families. Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including intake interviews and diagnostic evaluations, utilizing clinical documentation standards and medical terminology.
  • Deliver individual, group, couples, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and family therapy.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety and stability during urgent situations.
  • Collect and analyze data related to treatment progress, maintaining accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines.
  • Coordinate care through case management activities, including home & community care planning and collaboration with other healthcare providers.
  • Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to provide remote counseling interventions while adhering to clinical documentation standards.
  • Engage in clinical research opportunities to enhance treatment approaches and contribute to ongoing mental health advancements.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology or related field; licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist is required.
  • Active Associates number
  • Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques, behavioral health interventions, and trauma-informed care such as PTSD care is essential.
  • Knowledge of medical records systems, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical documentation standards is necessary.
  • Strong skills in crisis intervention, crisis management, behavioral management, and working with individuals with disabilities are vital for success.
  • Experience working with diverse populations through home & community care settings or hospital environments is advantageous.
  • Excellent client communication skills coupled with the ability to work effectively within clinical ethical guidelines and HIPAA compliance are required.
