Niki Design & Glass Studio Inc. is looking for a motivated, tech-savvy part-time Office Assistant / Junior Project Coordinator to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student or someone early in their career who is comfortable with computers, learns quickly, and is interested in gaining hands-on experience in the architectural glass and construction industry.

Position: Part-Time Office Assistant

Schedule: 3 days per week
Hours: Flexible
Preferred days: Monday, Tuesday & Friday, or Tuesday & Thursday + one flexible day

Responsibilities
  • Preparing customer quotes and estimates
  • Preparing invoices and assisting with accounts receivable
  • Filing, document organization, and record-keeping
  • Scheduling site measurements and installations
  • Communicating with customers, contractors, and suppliers
  • Preparing and updating shop drawings
  • Reading and interpreting architectural drawings and blueprints
  • Assisting with project coordination and follow-up
  • Updating and managing social media content
  • Maintaining project files and job records
  • General office administration and organization
  • Using various computer programs and learning industry-specific software
We Are Looking For Someone Who
  • Is highly comfortable with technology and computers
  • Has strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Can read and understand architectural drawings or is willing to learn
  • Has excellent attention to detail
  • Learns new software and systems quickly
  • Is comfortable working with numbers, measurements, and dimensions
  • Has good communication and customer-service skills
  • Can work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Is creative and comfortable with social media
  • Has an interest in construction, architecture, design, or engineering
  • Has a positive attitude and is willing to learn

Experience with AutoCAD, drafting, Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, Adobe programs, Canva, or other design/drawing software would be an asset, but is not required.

This position offers the opportunity to learn the technical and administrative side of a custom architectural glass business, including estimating, project coordination, shop drawings, construction drawings, scheduling, and customer communication.

Part-time position with a flexible schedule.
