Quinn’s Gym – Carmichael, CA
$27.50–$30.00/hour
Part-Time
Quinn’s Gym is looking for Exercise Science and Kinesiology professionals who want to use their education to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
We are a private strength-training and adaptive-fitness facility in Carmichael serving older adults, people with Parkinson’s disease, neurodivergent children and adults, and traditional personal-training clients.
We are currently expanding our coaching team and have opportunities in two areas.
Morning / Early Afternoon CoachingThis position focuses primarily on:
Previous boxing coaching or boxing-fitness experience is helpful, but it is not required. We can teach the right candidate our approach.
Afternoon / Evening RISE Adaptive FitnessThis position focuses primarily on our RISE adaptive fitness program for neurodivergent children, teens, and adults.
For this role, we are particularly interested in someone who genuinely enjoys working with children.
The ideal candidate is patient, energetic, creative, adaptable, and comfortable working with children who may learn, communicate, behave, or respond differently.
RISE coaches use strength training, movement, balance, coordination, games, challenges, and play to help participants become stronger, more confident, and more physically capable.
QualificationsWe are looking for candidates with a bachelor’s degree in:
Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Candidates should have:
Experience in any of the following is particularly helpful:
You do not need experience in every one of these areas. We are willing to train an exceptional candidate with the appropriate educational background, temperament, and desire to learn.
Why Quinn’s Gym?Many of the people we serve would not be well served in a traditional commercial gym.
Our coaches learn how to adapt exercise to the person in front of them—whether that person is a child with autism, an older adult who wants to remain independent, or someone working to maintain function while living with Parkinson’s disease.
This is an opportunity to apply what you learned in Exercise Science or Kinesiology in a very practical setting while developing experience working with populations that require thoughtful and individualized coaching.
Compensation: $27.50–$30.00/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
