Bread & Pastry Baker

The Ancestral Oven is seeking an experienced Bread & Pastry Baker to join our team. We're looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, enjoys working early mornings, and is passionate about producing high-quality, scratch-made baked goods.

• Mix, ferment, shape, and bake artisan breads.
• Prepare pastries and other baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
• Monitor dough development and fermentation to ensure consistent quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace.
• Follow production schedules and complete daily baking tasks on time.
• Work collaboratively with the bakery team to ensure products are ready for service.
• Assist with ingredient preparation, inventory rotation, and general kitchen duties as needed.

• Previous professional bread and pastry baking experience is required.
• Understanding of dough fermentation, shaping, and baking techniques.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain standing for extended periods.
