Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging after-school enrichment activities using the Challenge Island lesson plans.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all children.
• Facilitate hands-on challenges that promote problem-solving, teamwork, and creative thinking.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including supervising children during activities and managing emergency situations if needed.
• Foster a positive atmosphere that encourages curiosity, confidence, and social-emotional growth among participants.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, tutoring, or extracurricular settings is preferred.
• Strong classroom management skills to maintain order while encouraging active participation.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
• Ability to lead creative STEM/STEAM activities.
• Certification in first aid or CPR is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified.
• Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and school staff.
