We’re a local sanctuary which opened recentky in June 2026 in Downtown Skokie — a vibrant, welcoming space where people come to pause, eat well, and reconnect before they lift off again. We serve nutritious indulgence: açaí bowls, smoothies, and protein bites made with real ingredients and real intention. We exist to fuel your journey — and we’re building a team that brings that to life every single day.

 

The Role

The Shift Supervisor is the engine that keeps Hummingbird running when the GM isn’t on the floor. You open or close with confidence, lead the crew through every rush, and make sure every guest leaves feeling fueled and cared for. This is a stepping stone to bigger things — we promote from within.

 

 

What You'll Do

• Open and/or close the restaurant independently
• Lead crew through service — setting the pace and tone
• Ensure food quality, consistency & speed every shift
• Handle guest concerns with warmth and professionalism
• Support inventory, stocking & daily prep tasks
• Work the Skokie Farmers Market (Sundays, June+)
• Be the dependable leader your team looks up to
• Any reasonable task, not included in the job description, that is assigned by management

What We're Looking For

• Prior restaurant or food service experience required
• Some supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Strong kitchen skills — you know how to run a station
• Natural hospitality — guests feel it when you’re on
• Reliable, punctual, and accountable under pressure
• Health & nutrition curiosity — our guests will ask
• Availability: mornings, weekends & Farmers Market
