We’re looking for a cheerful, dependable person who loves good food, great coffee, and connecting with people. This role is perfect for someone starting out in the culinary world or someone with equivalent experience who wants a great place to learn and grow.
This position supports the day-to-day flow of our café and works closely with the head chef/manager. The right person is friendly, reliable, organized, and enjoys creating a welcoming experience for customers while helping keep the kitchen running smoothly. Weekends off as our cafe is open weekdays (Mon-Fri) 7:30 am-3:30 pm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare coffee, lattes, and other barista drinks.
- Welcome customers and provide warm, friendly front-of-house service.
- Prepare sandwiches, soups, cookies, and other café items.
- Help maintain an attractive, well-stocked pastry display.
- Prepare and cook food to consistent quality and presentation standards.
- Assist with catering prep and event-related food service.
- Support closing duties and act as a key holder.
- Monitor portion control and help minimize waste.
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and allergen standards.
- Check freshness, rotate stock, and store ingredients properly.
- Help order supplies and track inventory.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, work areas, and customer-facing spaces to a high standard.
