Technical Customer Support / Election Operations Technician

Position Summary

The Level 1 Technical Customer Support / Election Operations Technician provides operational and technical support for election tabulation, ballot processing, scanning systems, and election equipment. This position assists with ballot handling, equipment setup, quality control procedures, and troubleshooting of election-related technology in a secure, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with computer systems, and capable of following established procedures and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor tabulation equipment and scanning systems.
• Operate Clear Ballot scanning and adjudication systems.
• Perform ballot image review and adjudication support activities.
• Assist with ballot preparation, sorting, and processing operations.
• Provide operational support during Logic and Accuracy (L&A) testing.
• Perform quality control procedures related to ballot handling and chain of custody requirements.
• Troubleshoot digital scanners, computer workstations, and basic hardware/software issues.
• Maintain accurate processing workflows during high-volume election operations.
• Assist with equipment setup, testing, maintenance, and operational readiness activities.
• Follow documented election laws, procedures, security protocols, and operational guidelines.
• Support additional election-related tasks and projects as assigned.
