Job Summary
Apex Leather is a multi-generational, family-owned business located in Hudson, NC. We are a supplier of fine upholstery leathers serving the upholstery and automotive industries nationwide.
We are looking for a dependable Warehouse Associate / Material Handler to join our team. This position supports daily warehouse operations by stocking, pulling, stacking, and transporting leather hides and other materials used for order fulfillment. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a physically active warehouse environment.

Responsibilities:
Stock, pull, stack, lift, process, inspect and transport leather hides and other materials such as boxes within the warehouse

Assist with organizing and maintaining workspace areas for efficiency and safety

Help unload trucks and incoming shipments as needed

Break down cardboard boxes and dispose of packaging materials properly

Learn to identify, measure, cut, inventory, and inspect different types of leather and other stock items for order fulfillment
Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization by sweeping floors, emptying trash, breaking down boxes, and keeping work areas orderly.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

The physical demands and work environment described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds using proper lifting techniques

Ability to operate pallet jacks and/or forklifts is a plus but not required

Must be able to stand and walk for an 8-hour shift on concrete floors

Must be able to push, pull, lift, twist, stoop, and carry materials and supplies

Must be able to work independently while communicating effectively with team members

Ability to tolerate heat and cold- warehouse is not climate controlled.

$15–$20 per hour depending on experience
