Full Time Position

Flying Fish Company is looking for an experienced line cook to join our team!
 

$28-32 per hour with tips
 

Open availability is necessary when applying for this position.
 

This is a great opportunity to work with an abundance of high-quality ingredients and sustainable seafood. Fish mongering experience is a plus.
 

The person we would be excited to interview would have:
 

• at least 1-year professional kitchen experience
   
• experience working a high-volume line
   
• a good understanding of basic sauce building
   
• confident knife skills
   
• the ability to follow a well written recipe
   
• understanding of how to prioritize tasks
   
• ability to takes direction and feedback without conflict

• clear, effective and pleasant communication skills
   

The person we would love to hire is someone who takes pride in themselves and the work they do. We are a small team and truly enjoy spending time with each other, so personality will be strongly considered for this hire. We understand on small teams everyone plays a role in our success, and we truly value each individual we ask to join us.
 

This is an hourly tipped position that pays using a pooled house model where everyone receives an equal tip share. We average an additional $10+ per hour worked - in tips - each paycheck. Quality of life is very important to us. We do our best to promote happiness in and outside the workplace. A couple times a year we close the doors to the shop to take a company trip.
