Kauai Beach Boys is hiring a safety-focused, customer-oriented team member with strong ocean knowledge to work at Kalapaki Beach.

This is a unique opportunity to work oceanfront, share your passion for the ocean, and deliver world-class experiences to guests from around the world. Join our team and enjoy the opportunity to work at Kalapaki beach. This is a part-time position with potential for full-time.

Responsibilities

Teach surf lessons (land + water)
Assist guests with wave riding (positioning/timing)
Monitor ocean conditions and ensure guest safety
Provide safety briefings for all rentals
Set up and break down beach equipment (chairs, umbrellas, boards)
Clean and maintain rental gear
Help guests, answer questions, and sell tours/activities
Maintain a safe, professional, and fun environment

Requirements

Ocean knowledge is a MUST
5+ years surfing experience required
Strong swimmer (open ocean capable)
CPR / First Aid required
Able to lift 70+ lbs
Friendly, reliable, and professional
Good communication skills
Team-oriented with strong work ethic
Outrigger Canoe Steering (preferred)
Schedule

Must live on Kauaʻi
Must have reliable transportation and phone
Availability required: Thursdays, Fridays, weekends, holidays
Typical shift: 8:45 AM – 6:00 PM
