The Alternative to Expulsion Program Facilitator will oversee and implement the "Empowering Futures" program, designed to provide high school students at risk of expulsion with a structured, supportive environment that encourages positive behavior change. The Coordinator will ensure the smooth operation of after-school and summer sessions, manage student referrals, and coordinate with mentors and volunteers to deliver academic, emotional, and social support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Facilitate and implement the "Empowering Futures" program for at-risk high school students.
• Develop curriculum and organize after-school activities, focusing on mentorship, academic support, leadership, and personal development.
• Collaborate with school counselors, mentors, and volunteers to monitor student progress.
• Provide trauma-informed care and support for students affected by Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
• Track attendance, monitor behavioral changes, and maintain detailed records for each participant.
• Ensure compliance with program policies and assist in preparing reports and evaluations.
• Lead workshops focused on substance abuse prevention, leadership development, and coping strategies.
• Participate in outreach efforts to engage eligible students and their families.
