Description

Peak Nano is seeking a motivated, hands-on Facilities Summer Intern to support general upkeep and improvement projects across our manufacturing facilities. This role is ideal for upper-level high school students, vocational students, or early college students who enjoy working with their hands and are interested in maintenance or skilled trades careers. The Facilities Intern will assist with a variety of tasks including painting, minor repairs, equipment support, and general facility improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support basic mechanical work under supervision
• Help with installation projects such as hanging shelves, mounting equipment, and minor fixture repairs
• Assist maintenance team with preventative maintenance activities
• Assist with painting and surface preparation across facility areas
• Perform general housekeeping and facility upkeep tasks (cleaning, organizing, debris removal)
• Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned
• Work across multiple facility locations as needed 

Qualifications

• Current high school junior or senior, or enrolled in a vocational/trade school or early college program 
• Strong interest in hands-on work, mechanical tasks, or skilled trades
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude (coursework, hobbies, or personal projects)
• Enjoys working with tools, building, fixing, or creating
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

• Shop class, vocational training, or technical coursework
• Experience with hand tools or small equipment
• Personal projects (automotive work, woodworking, repairs, etc.)

• Reliable transportation required (travel between facilities)
• Ability to perform physical work (lifting, standing, bending, climbing ladders)
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing/industrial environment
• Commitment to safety and following company procedures
