The team works on systems across Stellar, including backend infrastructure, developer facing APIs, and open source tools that support production blockchain applications.

About the role 

In this role, you would:

• Design and build scalable backend systems for wallet infrastructure
• Develop developer facing APIs used across the Stellar ecosystem
• Contribute to open source tooling, protocol design, and RFCs
• Work on production systems handling blockchain transactions
• Collaborate on architecture, design reviews, and performance improvements

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong backend development experience with Node.js
• Experience with production scale distributed systems
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and system design
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Financial experience, Go, or open source contributions would be a strong plus.

The Wallet team plays a key role in enabling developers, enterprises, and users to interact with the Stellar network securely and at scale.

Compensation for this role is $170,000 to $260,000, plus benefits and grants, depending on experience and location.
