We arelooking for a strong outdoor leader to help lead our CLP wilderness canoe trips this summer through YMCA Camp Classen in Oklahoma.

This is a contract position that would be a great fit for someone who loves working with teens, enjoys river trips/camping, and can confidently help lead in an outdoor environment.

Trips are 4-day canoe adventures on the Buffalo River in Arkansas with up to 14 campers (ages 15–16). You’d work alongside our CLP Coordinators to help supervise campers, manage logistics, teach outdoor skills, and create an experience that is both fun and meaningful. The Trip Guide will also serve as a driver for the trip using camp vehicles.

Schedule:

• Monday – trip prep/packing at camp

• Tuesday–Friday – on-river trip

Trip Dates:

• June 2–5

• June 16–19

• June 30–July 3

Pay is $1,250 per trip. Meals, vehicles, and group camping accommodations are provided during the trip.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is at least 21 years old with a clean driving record

• Is comfortable driving camp vehicles and transporting campers

• Has experience working with youth and/or outdoor adventure programs

• Can stay calm, flexible, and professional in fast-paced situations

• Has CPR/First Aid certifications (or is willing to get them)

• WFA certification preferred

• Has canoeing, camping, or wilderness leadership experience
