Join our affordable walk-in vaccine clinic located inside Pet Supplies Plus in Virginia Beach, VA, as a Veterinary Assistant/Client Educator. In this role, you will support pet health through client education, assisting with vaccinations, and ensuring pets are safely restrained for examinations. Our medium-sized veterinary team values clear communication and attention to detail to provide excellent care using paper-based records. Must be able to work Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. 

Responsibilities

• Review previous patient records to inform care decisions
• Educate pet owners on vaccinations and preventative care
• Assist with vaccination procedures
• Restrain pets safely during examinations
• Manage patient history records using paper-based systems
• Provide guidance on preventative pet care
• Maintain sanitation standards in the clinic
• Communicate effectively with clients and the veterinary team

Experience

• Entry-level experience in veterinary assistance
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Skills in animal handling and vaccination knowledge
• Familiarity with record keeping and basic medical terminology
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to collaborate within a team
