Job Overview
Costumes and Crayons Daycare is seeking passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educators (ECEA, ECE, and ECE-IT) to join our team. We are looking for individuals who are committed to creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment that supports the growth and development of young children.

We welcome both experienced educators and new graduates who are eager to learn and grow in a supportive setting.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate programs and activities
Ensure the safety, well-being, and supervision of children at all times
Promote positive behaviour and social-emotional development
Build strong relationships with children, families, and team members
Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, behaviour, and health
Foster an environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and learning
Work collaboratively with educators to enhance classroom experiences
Ensure compliance with provincial licensing regulations and policies
Qualifications
ECEA, ECE, or ECE-IT certification (required depending on position applied for)
Infant Toddler (IT) certification required for ECE-IT role only
Special Needs certification is an asset
Valid First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Clear Criminal Record Check
Experience in an early childhood setting is preferred but not required
Strong understanding of child development principles
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Wages

ECEA: $20.00 per hour
ECE: $26.00 per hour (including wage enhancement)
ECE-IT: $28.00 per hour (including wage enhancement)
