We're a neighborhood bagel and donut shop that takes pride in making everything from scratch, every day. We're looking for a hands-on shift manager who loves good food, loves people, and isn't afraid to get flour on their hands. If you thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, know how to lead a small crew, and genuinely enjoy connecting with customers — we'd love to meet you.

What you'll do

  • Oversee daily shop operations during your shift, including opening and closing procedures
  • Jump in anywhere in the kitchen — mixing dough, shaping bagels, frying and glazing donuts, managing the line during rushes
  • Lead, motivate, and coordinate a small team; delegate tasks and keep things running smoothly
  • Greet customers warmly, handle orders accurately, resolve any concerns professionally, and create a welcoming experience for regulars and newcomers alike
  • Monitor inventory and supplies, flag low stock, and assist with ordering when needed
  • Uphold food safety, sanitation, and quality standards — every product that leaves the kitchen should reflect what we stand for
  • Assist with onboarding and training new team members

What we're looking for

  • Kitchen chops:1–2+ years in a food production or bakery setting; scratch baking experience is a big plus
  • Leadership experience: You've led or mentored a team before — you know how to direct people without losing the good vibe
  • A people person: You're warm, approachable, and the kind of person customers are glad to see behind the counter
  • Weekend availability: Weekends are our biggest days — availability Saturday and Sunday is a must, not a maybe

Nice to have

  • ServSafe certification or a food handler's license
  • Comfortable with a POS system and basic cash handling
  • A genuine love for the product — you don't have to be a pastry chef, but you should care about what comes out of this kitchen

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
