The Cabin Counselor for Camp Weed Summer Camp furthers the mission and vision of Camp Weed by serving as the primary caregiver for each camper in their cabin. The counselor is responsible for planning, teaching, coordinating, and carrying out activities and guiding campers in their personal growth and daily living skills. Typically, counselors live in a cabin with up to 15 campers, one counselor-in-training (CIT), and one co-counselor. Counselors will also serve as Activity Leaders and Shepherds throughout the summer.

We look for our staff members to have leadership experience, a passion for children, and a love for serving others. Most of our staff members are college-aged, along with a few exceptional high school students, who give up their summers to invest in the lives of our campers.

We provide all trainings and certifications needed to facilitate our activities, including lifeguard certifications, archery training, and high ropes training. We also hold a week long staff training to prepare all staff for leading activities, managing behavior issues, working as a team, and more.
