  • Conduct security screenings, including bag checks and handheld or walk through metal detector procedures, in accordance with site protocols
  • Maintain situational awareness across large crowds, identifying risks early
  • Support safe and efficient guest flow, including entry, exit, and restricted areas
  • Apply clear communication and de-escalation techniques when addressing issues
  • Respond decisively to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations
  • Represent Inner Valor with a polished, customer-focused presence at all times

  • A team-first mindset with a high level of accountability
  • Reliability—you show up early, prepared, and ready to perform

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 18+ years old with a high school diploma or GED
  • Ability to work long shifts (8-12+ hour shifts) in dynamic environments
  • Reliable transportation to various event locations across Chicago and the suburbs
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in outdoor event environments
  • Must pass background check and drug test

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PERC card & 20-hour Basic Security Training certification
  • Experience in event security, hospitality, military, or law enforcement

  • Prior experience working large-scale events or high-attendance venues

Physical & Mental Requirement:

This role requires sustained physical presence, environmental adaptability, and continuous alertness in dynamic event settings. Responsibilities include:

  • Remaining on your feet for extended periods (8–12+ hours), including standing, walking, and active monitoring
  • Working outdoors for prolonged durations in varying weather conditions (heat, sun, wind, rain, and other environmental factors)
  • Operating effectively in crowded, high-noise environments, including entry points and screening areas
  • Maintaining constant situational awareness, attention to detail, and focus throughout the duration of the shift
  • Communicating clearly and effectively with guests and team members in fast-paced and sometimes stressful conditions
  • Navigating dense crowds, restricted areas, stairs, and uneven terrain as required by the event site
  • Responding quickly to incidents, including rapid movement over short distances when necessary
  • Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 25 pounds
