About the Role

We're looking for a personable, organized Leasing Assistant to join our team at Bayview Group in Kanata , Ottawa , a newly opened residential community. You'll be the first point of contact for prospective tenants—guiding tours, answering questions, and helping people find their next home.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct property tours — Show available units to prospective tenants, highlighting features, amenities, and neighborhood benefits.
  • Respond to inquiries — Answer calls, emails, and walk-in questions about availability, pricing, lease terms, and move-in requirements.
  • Qualify applicants — Collect applications, verify information, and coordinate background/credit checks per company procedures.
  • Support lease execution — Prepare lease documents, explain terms, and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Maintain listings — Keep unit availability, photos, and descriptions current across all marketing platforms.
  • Coordinate move-ins — Schedule move-in dates, prepare welcome materials, and conduct unit inspections.
  • Track leads — Log all prospect interactions in the property management system and follow up promptly.
  • Provide market feedback — Share insights on prospect preferences, competitor offerings, and pricing trends with leadership.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience: 1+ year in leasing, property management, retail, or hospitality preferred; new grads with strong customer service skills welcome.
  • Communication: Clear, friendly, and professional—written and verbal.
  • Organization: Able to juggle multiple tours, follow-ups, and deadlines without dropping the ball.
  • Tech comfort: Familiarity with property management software (Yardi)  is a plus.
  • Flexibility: Availability to work weekends .
