The Compliance Coordinator serves as a key member of the Program team. This position is responsible for supporting the Program administrative team in the areas of compliance and standards and delivery of programs consistent with the agency's mission and strategic plan. The Compliance Coordinator is supervised by and works directly with the Senior Director for Clinical and Compliance to ensure that service delivery through case management is operated in compliance with agency policy, regulatory standards and contractual obligations. The Compliance Coordinator works closely with other agency staff to identify and reduce risks associated with the provision of services to children, youth and families.
The Compliance Coordinator must exhibit the intellectual and emotional maturity required to work in a ministry dedicated to helping children and families facing challenging life circumstances. This position requires respect and compassionate understanding for the children and families served. The Compliance Coordinator must possess effective verbal and written communication skills. The Compliance Coordinator must maintain a healthy value system, including moral and ethical behavior consistent with the agency's mission and core values. This position works collaboratively with others and involves frequent contact with consumers, other agency staff, licensing authorities, contractual funding sources, accrediting bodies, community leaders and vendors. The Compliance Coordinator must understand and demonstrate competency in the evidence-based programs offered in the assigned areas, as well as policies, procedures, and standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide ongoing support and direction to staff to ensure a professional work environment.
• Maintain compliance with applicable professional licensing, state licensing, and accreditation standards.
• Assist with identifying and reducing risk associated with client service delivery.
• Manage agency funds, resources, and equipment according to agency policy and procedures.
• Assist with evaluation and continuous quality improvement process for assigned area.
• Assist with updating and developing policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Assist with effective implementation of agency policy, regulatory standards and contractual obligations.
• Assist with audits, accreditations and regulation requirements.
• Work collaboratively in a proactive and positive manner with other departments.
• Follow agency policies regarding the solicitation and receipt of donations.
• Represent program at agency functions, activities, and events.
• Represent agency at community functions, activities, and events.
• Complete required documentation.
• Ensure all facilities and equipment are clean, organized and maintained.
WORKING CONDITIONS This is a professional position. This position requires work after normal office hours, during the weekend or on holidays. Availability during the normal business hours of the agency is required to be available for consultation and to perform administrative functions. Out-of-town and overnight travel are also required. An automobile for in-town and out-of-town travel is required. Mileage reimbursement is provided for use of personal automobile for approved business purposes. A cell phone is required, and a stipend is provided to offset the business use of the cell phone.
EDUCATION/LICENSURE A bachelor's degree is required and a master's degree is preferred. TRAINING Training hours must be completed annually to comply with licensing and accreditation standards, as well as MCH policy. The employee's supervisor may require additional training to meet specific job requirements or enhance professional growth. Completion of training requirements is mandatory for continued employment. The Compliance Coordinator must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid Texas Driver's License, an excellent driving record that meets the standards set forth by the liability insurance company and Methodist Children's Home, no criminal history and acceptable references.
