Looking for a reliable, energetic, hard-working individual willing and eager to learn the trade/art of fiberglassing. This position does NOT require any previous fiberglassing experience. It is a long-term, hire-to-train, career building opportunity!

Over time, you will learn and be fully trained on the proper procedures of fiberglass maintenance (which includes repairs and refinishes on various types of surfaces - Fiberglass, Acrylic, Cast Iron, etc.). After your training is complete, and the candidate can meet the expectations for the position accordingly, you will become a full-time Fiberglass Technician. This position will be responsible for the structural and cosmetic repair of fiberglass and other materials that we repair and refinish at Thompson Custom LLC.

Qualifications:

Expectations require this employee to be able to travel to and from job site locations on a timely basis. This includes arriving early or on-time, reporting appropriately, and display a professional attitude every day.

The candidate must be able to:

• Safely use, handle, and maintain all types of power and hand tools
• Quickly learn/grow in the position. This includes, being an active listener while being trained, following all instructions accurately and timely, and be proactive in asking questions when necessary.
• Read a tape measure & communicate all measurements accurately
• Have good written and verbal communication skills with customers, the owner, and the operations office team
• Work indoors or outdoors in all weather conditions (rain or sunshine, depending on the severity of the weather)
• Physically lift and carry the tools of the trade
• Drive an automotive vehicle to/from each jobsite

This position requires (prior to hire) completion and pass of BOTH a background check and a drug test.

No fiberglass experience needed to apply, we will 100% train you on the job site every day. Must be eager to jump-in and tackle tasks requested of you during this training process.
