Take Back Trust Youth Council

The Take Back Trust Youth Council is a paid, youth-led advisory group made up of people ages 16 to 21 who are helping reshape how reproductive health information shows up online.

If you’ve ever scrolled past a post about your body and thought, that doesn’t sound right… this is for you.

This council exists because teens are already navigating a constant stream of information about their health, relationships, and bodies, and a lot of it is confusing, misleading, or just flat-out wrong. Instead of ignoring that, we’re building a group of young people who are actively paying attention and doing something about it.

As a member of the Youth Council, you’ll help identify trends on social media, flag misinformation, and break down what’s actually accurate in a way that makes sense for your generation. You’ll work alongside other teens to shape content that feels real, relevant, and trustworthy, not clinical or out of touch.

This is not a classroom, and it’s not about being an expert. It’s about being observant, curious, and willing to speak up.

The council is a small group that works together over a 12-month period. Participation is flexible, mostly happening through group chat, with optional monthly check-ins. Members contribute about six hours a month and receive a stipend, because your time and perspective matter.

At its core, the Youth Council is about shifting the narrative. It’s about making sure that the information teens see online reflects real experiences, real questions, and real needs, and that young people are part of building it.

If you care about what people your age are seeing and believing about their bodies, this is a space to help change it.
