We are seeking hardworking, reliable, and detail-oriented individuals to join our landscaping team. As a Landscape Laborer, you will assist in the installation and maintenance of landscaping elements, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction. This role requires physical labor, outdoor work, and the ability to follow directions from the Landscape Foreman or Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Landscaping & Maintenance:
    • Plant and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, and other landscaping elements.
    • Remove weeds, rake leaves, and maintain garden beds.
    • Assist in the installation of hardscape elements such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
  • Equipment Operation:
    • Safely operate landscape tools and equipment such as, trimmers, blowers, and rakes.
    • Help maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
  • Site Preparation:
    • Assist with grading, leveling soil, and preparing land for planting and construction.
    • Dig trenches, holes, and other excavations as needed for installation projects.
  • Safety & Cleanliness:
    • Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
    • Ensure that the job site is kept clean and free of debris.
    • Report any safety hazards or equipment issues to the Foreman or Supervisor.
  • Team Support:
    • Work as part of a team to complete landscaping tasks efficiently and according to project timelines.
    • Follow instructions from the Landscape Foreman or Project Manager to complete daily tasks.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • No prior experience required, but previous landscaping or outdoor labor experience is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to use basic landscaping tools and equipment (training will be provided if necessary).
    • Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks.
    • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
    • Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more.
    • Ability to work in various outdoor conditions (heat, rain, cold).
    • Stand, kneel, bend, and squat for extended periods.
  • Other:
    • A valid driver’s license is a plus (but not always required).
    • Reliable transportation to and from job sites.

Work Environment:

  • Work is performed outdoors, typically in residential or commercial landscaping settings.
  • Must be prepared for varying weather conditions, including hot, cold, wet, or dry conditions.
  • Hours may vary depending on the season and project deadlines.
